Anita Maria Gallegos of Rocky Ford, Colorado, entered into rest December 28, 2020 at the Pioneer Nursing Care Center in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
She was born to Jose and Felipita Madrid, February 27, 1933 in Colonias, New Mexico.
She was 87 years of age.
Anita is survived by her son, Gene (Liz) Gallegos, Sr., son, Anthony (Patricia) Gallegos, grandchildren Adam (Holly) Allen Lopez, Alex Lopez, Aaron Lopez, Rico Gallegos, Demarco Gene Jr. Nicole (Ricky) Hernandez, Annette (Leon) Marques, son in-law, Henry Lopez, great grandchildren, Domique, Austin Enrique, Rico Jr., Brandon, Esperanza, Daja, Logon, great-great grandchildren Romeo, Armani and Eli, brother, Mere (Joann) Madrid, George (Irene) Marquez, Steve Marquez, sisters, Rita Gallegos and Selena Marquez.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Margarito Gallegos., parents, Jose and Felipita Madrid, daughters, Sandra Lopez and Theresa Gallegos.
Anita worked at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford, Colorado for 35 years as a Dietitian and later became a resident there at the Pioneer Health Care Center. Anita was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and a member of The St. Anthony’s Woman’s Circle. She loved dancing, cooking and making sure everyone was always fed. She enjoyed going out and having a great time. She loved spending time with her family and making tortillas. Anita also loved the Holidays.
