Anthony Alan Montanez-Kayganich of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest, November 4, 2016. He was born to Ruby Montanez and Anthony Kayganich, January 5, 1993 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was 23 years of age.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Ruby Montanez of La Junta, Colorado, father, Anthony Kayganich of Craig, Colorado, brothers, Michael (Marissa) Montanez of La Junta, Colorado, Jared Kayganich of La Junta, Colorado, Schuyler Kayganich of La Junta, Colorado, sister, Bryann Buhrle of La Junta, Colorado, significant other, Leah Romero of La Junta, Colorado, grandparents, Feliberto Lopez, Sr. of La Junta, Colorado and Dorothy Lopez of La Junta, Colorado, nieces, AyBree Montanez of La Junta, Colorado, Alixis Montanez of La Junta, Colorado, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norberto Montanez, Sr. and grandmother, Elaine Kayganich, grandfather, Donald Kayganich.
Anthony enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with his nieces, being around family and giving piggybacks rides to the kids. He loved all animals especially his dogs. He was a Joker and he was a lot of fun. He will be greatly missed by many.
A 10:00 AM funeral service will be held, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Johnson-Romero Funeral Home in La Junta, followed by internment at the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Father Paul Ekeh will be officiating.
