Obituary for "Tino"
Antonio “Tino” Vigil passed away at his home at the age of 81 in Walsenburg, Colorado, Oct 9, 2021. Tino was born in Rouse, Colorado April 20, 1940.
Tino worked for 42 years at the city of Walsenburg. Many of those years he was the supervisor for the Streets and Alley Department. He also served on the Walsenburg Volunteer Fire Department for thirty plus years.
Tino loved watching his kids play sports throughout the years and spending time with his family. As his kids got older Tino enjoyed playing and coaching men’s and women’s softball teams at the local ballpark.
If Tino wasn’t watching college and professional sports he enjoyed watching westerns.
Tino really enjoyed riding his motorcycle where he went on many trips to places like Red River and Albuquerque, New Mexico, and several other places in Colorado.
Tino was a loving partner to his wife Isabel. They had six children together and several grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his spouse Isabel, son, Anthony “Tono”, his parents, Antonio and Onofre, and siblings.
Tino is survived by one daughter and four sons.
The family would like to thank our cousin, Tina and her grandson, Michael for all the help they did for our dad. Special thanks to Dr. Donald Dutton and the staff at Spanish Peaks Family Clinic for their care. Also, a special thanks to Mt. Rose Hospice for the care and company you gave to our dad.
