Obituary for Ashley Nicole Lucy Hestand
Ashley Nicole Lucy Hestand of La Junta, Colorado entered into rest January 22, 2023 at University
Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. She was born to Chris Jara and Shelly Vasquez April 29, 1991 in Lamar,
Colorado. She was 31 years of age.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Hestand, four children Arianna Everhart, Aiden Everhart, Conner
Hestand, Tobias Hestand, father Chris Jara, siblings Shana (Daniel) Clarke, Laura Aguilar, Chris Jara, John
Vasquez, Dustin Jara, father and mother in-law, David (Donna) Hestand, brother in-law Terrence Hestand,
god father Benny Rameriz, several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother Shelly Vasquez, brother Mario Jara, grandparents Phillip, Lucy
Jara, aunt and uncles, Patty Jara and Ray Camacho. She loved being with her children, the outdoors,
camping, exploring new places and she was a music lover.
She will be deeply missed.
A 9:00 A.M. Visitation followed by an 11:00 A.M. Funeral Service will be held at the United Methodist
Church at 601 San Juan in La Junta Saturday January 2023.
