Bertha Gonzalez Dugan, 86, Rites Scheduled
Bertha Gonzalez Dugan, 86, of Rocky Ford entered into eternal peace on Saturday December 31 at Sangre De Cristo Hospice House in Pueblo, Co. Bertha was born February 21, 1930 in Fowler Co. to Sam and Josephina Flores.
She married Fidel Gonzalez on Sept.13, 1952. They made their home in Rocky Ford and together raised four children , he preceded her in death in 1978. She later remarried moving to Leonardville Kansas, returning to Colorado in 2012 to be closer to her family.
 She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford and in Clay Center, Kansas.
 Bertha enjoyed helping children starting a career as a Head Start Teacher then as a Librarian at Washington Elementary for many years. As a member of St. Peters Catholic Church she served as a eucharistic minister and was active in the ladies church group. She was strong in her faith.
 Bertha enjoyed cooking and baking especially for her family. She enjoyed reading her religious magazines and Angel stories. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and friend loving us all unconditionally. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
 She is survived by her sons Fidel Gonzalez and Robert (Rachel)Gonzalez , daughter Yolanda Gonzalez (Richard Cook), sisters Eva Hernandez and Molly Encinias, grandchildren Gabe(Eme)Jaramillo, Mario(Kelly)Gonzalez, Fidel (Corrine)Gonzalez III, Cisco (Erica) Jaramillo, Mindy Gonzalez , Nicole Gonzalez, and Eddie(Nicole) Gonzalez. Great grandchildren Elysia (Brandon)Vigil, Mario Gonzalez, Sierra Gonzalez, Savana Gonzalez, Joaquin, Emilio, Lorena Jaramillo, Cisco Jaramillo Jr, Carmen Gonzalez, Louis, Michelle, Ezekiel, Esperanza and Jaxson Gonzalez, William, Shaya and Emiliana Gonzalez, and grandpuppy Oscar and great great grandchildren Brandon, Annalysia and Benjamin Vigil. Also survived by special nieces , Margaret, Jennie Jo, and nephew Phil whom she helped raise, and many other special nieces, nephews and extended members of her childrens familes including Michael(Mary Jo) Cook and Mellisa(KC Gauna) Cook and families.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fidel, son Edward, son-in-law Emilio Jaramillo, sisters Helen Asebedo, Jennie Montoya, brother Don Flores and brother-in-laws Roman Asebedo, Pete Encinias, Daniel Montoya and Phil Hernandez, and special niece Rita Asebedo.
A Holy Rosary will be held 2:30 P.M. Friday January 6, 2016 followed by 3:00 P.M. Funeral Mass. Services will be held at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford,
