Obituary for Bradley Ray Pettie
Bradley Pettie of Rocky Ford, Colorado, entered into rest, February 19, 2022 in Las Animas, Colorado. He was born July 15, 1980 in Jacksonville, Florida to Elizabeth Ashida and was raised by her and Mauro Hernandez. He was 41 Years of age. After living in a few locations, his family settled in La Junta, Colorado. He received his GED at 16. Bradley worked previously at Lewis Nut and Bolt while simultaneously running his own music label and performing shows as often as possible. He worked at a private prison and then transferred to the Department of Corrections where he worked the last several years, achieving the rank of Captain. For a time, he was strongly involved in his ministry, Evangelistic Muzic, which helped transform many lives. He spent much energy working out, helping others, singing karaoke, dancing, and making music videos of his original music. He enjoyed time with his family, especially watching movies with them on the couch.
Bradley is survived by wife Bernadette and their sons, Demetrius, Damarius, and Drasen, and their daughter Jaicianna. He is also survived by his mother Elizabeth, brothers, John Pettie (Christan) and Joseph Lorenzo, and his sister, Jessica Hernandez. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather James and Geneva Ashida, and his dad Mauro Hernandez.
A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday March 12, 2022 at the La Junta First of the Nazarene.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
