Carlos F. Medina, "Carlie" of Thornton, Colorado and former resident of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest October 20, 2021 at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, Colorado.
He was born to Aldegunda and Manuel Medina, August 14, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado. He is survived by his children, Dianna (Cecil) Martinez, Carla (Joe) Navara, Carlos (Laura) Medina Jr., and James Medina; grandachilden Cecil Martinez III, Tara (David) Leppert, Ashley Medina, CJ Medina, Jashua Navara, great grandchildren, Hayden, Bryson, Brayden, Kamdyn Leppert; and Zander Martinez. Siblings Manuel Medina Jr., Mercy Furguson, Ishmael (Juanita) Medina, Lydia (Eddie) Salazar, Frank Medina, Robert (Linda) Medina, numerous nieces and nephews.
Carllie is preceded in death by his parents Aldegunda and Manuel Medina.
Carlie was retired from Rocky Flats, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and camping. He loved spending time with family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching westerns and dancing. He will be greatly missed.
A 10:00 A.M. Rosary followed by a 10:30 Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Junta, Colorado.
Arrangements have been entrust to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
