Catherin Dearcos of Rocky Ford, Colorado entered into rest December 5, 2018 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colorado.
She was born to Della and Gilbert Rodriguez, October 18, 1958 in Rocky Ford, Colorado. She was 60 years of age.
Cathy married Larry Dearcos, February 3, 1979 and together they had 3 children, Carlos, Maria and Joshua. Cathy was always caring for her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed helping others by becoming a girl scout leader and creating a folklórico dance group. Larry and Cathy fostered over 32 children. Leading up to her death she battled diabetes, dialysis, and cancer.
She was survived by her husband, Larry Dearcos of Rocky Ford, children Carlos (Angel) Dearcos of Pueblo, Maria (Brandon) Bonds of Rocky Ford, Joshua Dearcos of Rocky Ford, grandchildren, Aemiliana, Raquel, Anthony, Alexandrea, father Gilbert Rodriguez of Rocky Ford, brothers, Ronald G. Rodriguez of Pueblo, Kenneth (Sally) Rodriguez and Robert (Lorraine) Rodriguez all of Rocky Ford, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Della Montoya.
A Rosary will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Colorado followed Memorial Mass at 10:30 A.M. and a Committal Service at the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
