Obituary for Chris Gonzales
Chris Ernest Gonzales of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest September 4, 2015 at the Crowley County Nursing Center in Ordway, Colorado. Mr. Gonzales was born September 11, 1930 in La Junta, to Jesus and Felicita Gonzales. He was 84 years of age. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Eloyina Gonzalez, children, Richard Gonzales, Phyllis Anderson and Michael Gonzales all of La Junta, Colorado. Grandson, Jimmy Gonzales, great granddaughter, Molly Gonzales and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother, Tomas Gonzales of Pueblo, Colorado, Nephew, Roger Gonzales and numerous other nephews, nieces and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Edward Gonzales, parents, Jesus and Felicita Gonzales, brother, Jose "Chinky" Gonzales and sister, Florence Perez. Mr. Gonzales enjoyed going to the La Junta Senior Center and playing cards with his friends. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was retired from the Pueblo army depot after 40 years of service. A Rosary will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday September 10th 2015 followed by funeral mass at the Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Father Matthew Wertin will be officiating.
