Conchita V. Echon, of Rocky Ford, CO, entered into rest October 10, 2014 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, CO. She was born February 18, 1926 in the Philippines to her parents Juana and Ciriaco Villanueva. She was 88 years of age. She is survived by her children; Leonida (Bill) Sackett of Rocky Ford, CO, Junior (Maribel) Echon of Las Vegas, NV, Renato (Luisa) Echon of Honolulu, HI, Laurel Echon of Rocky Ford, CO. Grandchildren; Joshua (Shana) Montoya of Pueblo, CO, Leann Sackett of Rocky Ford, CO, Luther (Vita) Sackett of Japan, John Echon of the Philippines, Jeffrey Echon, of Las Vegas, NV, Justin Echon of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin Echon of Las Vegas, NV, and Angel Echon of the Philippines. Great Grandchildren; Marissa Montoya of Pueblo, CO, Peyton Lambert of Greenwood, NE, Natalie Montoya of Pueblo, CO, and Nicholas Montoya of Pueblo, CO. Brother Salvador Villanueva of the Philippines and sisters, Norma Bravo of San Francisco, CA, Remedios Villanueva and Rosita Villanueva of the Philippines. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Esmeraldo Echon, Sr., brother, Alfonzo Villanueva, Sister, Florentina Villanueva, daughters; Gloria Echon, Myrna Echon and Son, Nestor Echon. Conchita worked for the Prior Company Sewing Factory as an inspector. After that she ran her own seamstress business. She also owned a small grocery market when she lived in the Philippines. Conchita loved cooking, gardening. She took an instrumental part in raising her grandchildren, she cared for them since they were babies. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday Oct 17, 2014 at the Mennonite Church in Rocky Ford, CO, followed by a committal service at the Rocky Ford, Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
