Connie Lucero of Littleton, Colorado and formally of La Junta, Colorado went to be with our Lord September 24, 2020 in Littleton, Colorado.
She was born to Mariana and Christobal Lucero, September 12, 1947 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Connie is survived by her children, Mark (Brandon) Montano of Los Angeles, California, Ron (Delores) Montano, of Pueblo, Colorado, Phillip (Renee) Montano of Roxborough Park, Matthew Montano of Aurora and Nathan Montano of Denver, Colorado Grandchildren, Emilio, Selina, Joshua, Eli, Matthew, Caleb, Jennah, Liv, Andreas, Shiloh, Malea, great grandchildren, Justice, Charlize, siblings, Lu Lucero of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Carmen (Gil) Apodaca of La Junta, Colorado, Irene Lucero of Littleton, Colorado, Sue Lucero of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Felix Lucero and Leonard Lucero of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Phillip (Mona) Lucero of Fort Collins, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mariana, and Christobal Lucero, brother, Christobal Lucero Jr., Gilbert Eugene Lucero, and George Michael Lucero, Carlos Edward Lucero. Connie was an activities director at the nursing home in La Junta. She was also a published poet. She enjoyed writing poems, painting and listening to music. Mexican music was her favorite. She also liked to sing, bake cookies, decorate sugar cookies and she loved walking. She used to own the El Patio restaurant in La Junta.
