Obituary for Cruz Ramona Munoz
Cruz Ramona Munoz of La Junta, Colorado entered into rest, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Cruz was born to Nestora Berdin and Alfonso Arriaga, June 17, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, where she lived until 1981. She was 73 years of age. She married Mike Munoz, Sr. On April 8, 1967. They were married for 51 years and had three children (two sons and one daughter).
She is survived by her loving husband Mike Munoz of La Junta, Colorado, children; Paula (Michael) Engle of Pueblo, Colorado, Mike (Rachel) Munoz of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Daniel Munoz of Breckenridge, Colorado, grandchildren; Gabriella Engle, Keaton Wilson, Abby and Alia Powell, Emily (Nick) Willard, Ben Springer, Reagan and Tyler Crihfield, Ashley and Amber Vigil, Autumn Mestas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nestora Berdin and Alfonso Arriaga, her aunt Carmen Berdin, grandparents Antonia and Guadalupe Berdin, Father-In-Law, Merced and Pauline Munoz, nephews Matthew and Gerard Munoz, brother/sister-in-laws John and Jean Munoz, Willie and Cristina Munoz, Jerry Munoz and her very special friends Robbie Springer and June Znidarsich.
Cruz enjoyed making crafts, sewing, gardening, yard sales, and watching Law and Order. She loved cooking, baking, spending time with her family and visiting her favorite vacation spot in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She worked at Wal-Mart for several years. Cruz will be greatly missed.
A special mass dedication will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Catholic Church, 202 Lincoln Avenue, La Junta, Colorado. A reception will follow at 12:00 noon at Mexico City Restaurant, 1617 Raton Avenue, La Junta, Colorado.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Johnson-Romero Family funeral Home.
