Donato Raymond Ruiz of Rocky Ford, Colorado, entered into rest August 24, 2024, at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. He was born to Amerine and Guadalupe Ruiz on August 6, 1974, in La Junta, Colorado. Donato was 50 Years of age.
He is survived by his wife Linda Martinez of Rocky Ford, Colorado, children, Yesenia (Diego) Salazar of La Junta, Colorado, Angelo Ruiz of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Anita Martinez of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Alicia Martinez of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Jacob (Lori) Martinez of La Junta, Colorado, Donato Ruiz Jr of El Paso, Texas, 9 Grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, Father Guadalupe Ruiz of Rocky Ford, Colorado, brother, Cisco (Christina) Ruiz of La Junta, Colorado, sister, Shirley Ruiz of Garden City, Kansas, Cindy (Martin) Valdez of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Lupe (Victor) Lopez of Manzanola, Colorado, Mary Lou (Dave) Saltzman of Rocky Ford, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Donato is preceded in death by his Mother, Amerie Ruiz, brothers, Jose Ruiz and Leo Mendez, numerous aunts and uncles.
He loved his job at Russler Implements and all types of music. His biggest joy besides his family was his Dodge Challenger. He took a lot of pride in his car. He was very fun and loved being around his family. He was always the life of the party. He enjoyed dancing and was a good artist. Donato was fun to be around, and he proud of his LED lights that he had all over his house.
A Funeral Service followed by a cremation will be held at First Christian Church in Rocky Ford at 2pm. Pastor John Dell will be officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
