Edward Ray Sales of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest April 4, 2021 at the Pioneer Nursing Care Center in Rocky Ford, Colorado. He was born to Joe Preston Sales and Marsha Frost Sales, April 19, 1932 in Lamar, Colorado. He was 88 years of age.
Edward is survived by sons, Joe Preston Sales of Garden City, Kansas, Hugh Orin Sales of Wichita, Kansas, Steven (Beverly Jean) Sales of La Junta, Colorado, grandsons, Preston Sales, Dominick (Jollyann) Burhenn, Nathan (Raindear) Sales, Dirk (Stephanie) Sales, Evan Sales, granddaughter, Christina (Matthew) Miller, step-grandson, Chandler, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brothers, David (Dorothy) Sales and Larry Souders.
Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Mary D. Sales, Daughter, Sharon Ann Burhenn, son, Ronald Ray Sales, step-grandson, James Sales, Sister, Sharon Sales, brother, Richard Sales, parents, Marsha Fern Frost Sales and Joe Preston Sales.
Edward was well known by Farmers in the Southern Colorado area. He was a supervisor for Valley Concrete Co Ditch Lining, Valco Ditch Lining, H.L. M. Ditch Lining and V.S.L. Ditch Lining until his retirement. He loved to golf, bowl and fish. He served in the National Guard during the Korean war in the late 40’s and early 50’s. He was an acting Sargent.
He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Funeral Home.
