Eunice was born September 29, 1933, in Las Animas, Colorado to Ernest and Teresa (Ossola)
Onorati. She married Howard Bogner in May of 1951. Eunice graduated from Las Animas High
School in 1951 and after raising her family and being a huge help on the family farm she earned
her LPN License and began her career in nursing at the Fort Lyon VA Hospital. As a farm wife
and Mother, she created many wonderful dinners and suppers daily often with additional guest
and farm helpers. Often, she would help in driving the farm trucks for gathering sugar beets,
onions and hay or alfalfa. She was very active in the community in leading and participating
with: Brownie & Girl Scouts Troups, 4-H Groups, Kitchen Klutter Band, Colorado Cow Bells,
classroom volunteer, as well as volunteering at many local community events, including NARFE,
Farmers Union events and youth groups, and class reunion celebrations.
Her joy was found in raising her children as well as cooking, drawing, designing, sewing and
helping others. As a seamstress extraordinaire she designed many outfits for her children and
grandchildren. Her joy was in seeing them looking dapper in the finery she designed and
created. Her passion in design and her strong work ethic also created a beautiful home for
multiple generations. Eunice always expressed kindness and sweetness in her interactions with
others. Her sweetness and kindness will be missed by those that knew and loved her. She
celebrated in others joyous occasions through baking and decorating many beautiful and
unique wedding and birthday cakes.
Eunice is survived by her children, Jolene (Bogner) Onorati, and Michael (Debbie) Bogner. Her
Grandchildren, Rebecca (Anton) Adame, Abraham Ackerman, Colin Ackerman, Chad (Ashley)
