Obituary for Federico Isidro "Fred" Montoya
Federico Isidro "Fred" Montoya, entered into rest June 23, 2023, at the Crowley County Nursing Center in Ordway, Colorado.
He was born on March 2, 1933, to Jose C. and Ruperta Montoya. Federico was 90 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose C. and Ruperta Montoya and by his siblings, Josefita Lujan, Elibijen "Louie", infant sister Carolina, Camilo, Magin, Arthur, Ignacio "Nash", Hignio, Theresa Reveteriano and Mary "Della' Gallegos. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was cared for by his nephew, Samuel Gallegos in Samuel’s home in Manzanola, before entering Hospice at Crowley County Nursing Home. Federico served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He also graduated from the University of Denver in Denver, CO in 1960. He lived most of his life in San Francisco, CA, where he was employed as an accountant. He returned to Colorado after his retirement. Per Federico's request there will be no services. Private inurnment will follow at a later date. He will be buried in Jansen, Colorado.
