Obituary for Gabino "GABBY" Villanueva III

Gabino Villanueva III “Gabby” of Houston, Texas peacefully entered into rest with his family by his side April 3, 2022 after a courageous eight year battle with cancer.
Gabby was born, June 28, 1949 to Dora and Gabino T. Villanueva in Dallas, Texas. He was 72 years of age.
Gabby is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Rosalie Florez, three children, Cristina, Edward, (Michelle), Steven (Morgan) Villanueva. Grandchildren Christopher, Christian Pinales, Eddie, Alyssa, Parker Villanueva. Brothers Alfonso, Anthony Villanueva, (Andrea).
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edward Villanueva.
Gabby loved spending time with his family, playing golf, going fishing and loved to travel. Gabby was an avid reader, active volunteer for MD Anderson Cancer Center. He loved his music, he played in several bands in his younger years. Gabby continued to work in the tele-communications industry for many years with Lucent Technology, Nokia, Samsung. Gabby was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, PAGA golf, and the North Dallas Bulldog Class of 1967. Gabby especially will be remembered for his strength, smile and STAY POSITIVE attitude. Gabby lived his life with his mantra "STAY POSITIVE !"
