He was 50 years of age. James is survived by his wife, Janice Horton of Manzanola, CO, son, Aucencio Roland (Jana) Quintero of La Junta, CO, daughters, Rebecca Anne Horton of Manzanola, CO and Jamie Christine Horton of Manzanola, CO. Grandchildren: Emille Anne Hall, Teigan Anne, Quintero, Darren James Quintero, Mother, Wilma Sue Horton of Pollock Pines, CA. Brothers, Douglas (Sheri) Horton of Antioch, CA. Joseph Scott Horton of Pollock Pines, CA. He was preceded in death by his father Eldon Wayne Horton, grandparents, Monroe and Lorene Donakey. James was a master carpenter. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his kids and grandkids.
