Janet Ann Reichel Hager
Jane Reichel Hager was born on October 29, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri and died on April 5, 2021 at 80 years old. She was the daughter of Dorothy Lahl Reichel and George Paul Reichel, Jr. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, George Reichel, and her nephew, Christopher George Reichel. She is survived by daughter Leslie Hager Rich and husband, Adam Rich, sister Mary Reichel and husband, Rao Aluri, nieces Lisa Steven and husband, John Steven, Marla Underell, and Dr. Jennifer Reichel and husband, Aghiad Mhana, sister-in-law, Anne Reichel, and nephew Dr. Krishna Aluri and wife, Dr. Christina Aluri. She is also survived by grandchildren, Adrian and Marian Rich, seven grand nieces and nephews and three great-grand nieces.
Janet was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and finished high school at Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs where her ashes will be interred at her parents’ grave in Fairview Cemetery. She served as a civil service secretary for the Air Force in Colorado Springs. The birth of her daughter Leslie was a joyous occasion. In later life she lived in Rocky Ford, Colorado at the Pioneer Health Care Center where she received loving care. Her family is grateful to all the nurses and other staff at Pioneer Health Care whose care over the years allowed Janet to age with dignity and to the Arkansas Valley Hospice staff who served her in her final week Family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home of La Junta, CO.
