Jennie Leona Leyba of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest, September 6, 2022 at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born to Martha and Jose Sandoval, November 28, 1938 in Vineland, Colorado.

She was 83Years of age.

Jennie is survived by her children, Stephen Romero, Samantha (Pedro) Corona, Liz (Tommy) Tabares, Gilbert (Vivian) Romero and Rose Romero, grandchildren, Sal, Monique, Sonya, Alex, Shylo and Lanee. Great grandchildren, Alice, Jennie, Aurora, Mila, Mario, Maia, Jennisa, Brandon Rose, Gabby, Frankie, D.J., Kyleigh, Tyron, Ree and Sonya, and her brother Jake Sandoval and many nieces and nephews and special niece Maryann Gomez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Jose Sandoval, husband Phill Leyba, children Joe Romero, Jennie Romero, Jean Arteaga, Annette Romero, Ruben Romero, grandchildren, Dustin Eddie, Taylor Romero, siblings, Theresa Romero and Annie Gomez.

Jennie enjoyed cooking sopapillas, shopping cruising, sightseeing. She was a very happy person, fun loving and caring. She especially loved spending time with her family.
