Jessie Ray Luellen of Ordway, Colorado, entered into rest, September 21, 2018 in Ordway, Colorado.
He was born June 7, 1946 in Kansas to Henry and Roxie Luellen. Jessie was 72 years of age.
He is survived by his daughter, Elsie Luellen, sisters, Goldie Brown, Alice Luellen, Cindy Baker and Linda Tomkins, brothers, John Luellen and Roy (Dorothy) Luellen, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roxie and Henry Luellen, wife, Bonnie Deering, sisters, Roxie Pressnall and Stella Rose Garcia.
Jessie served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam and in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, going to Cripple Creek and shopping at Wal Mart. He was also a knife, sword, fishing poles and skull collector. His favorite restaurant was Golden Corral and he always wanted to go Big Foot hunting. He was a very happy person and he loved dogs and kids. He will be greatly missed.
An 11:00 A.M. visitation will be held at the Ordway Baptist Church followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September, 26, 2018. Pastor Don Parker will be officiating.
A Committal Service will be held at the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway, Colorado with Military Honors.
Arrangements are entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home of La Junta.
