Joseph Arthur Romero of Trinidad, Colorado and former resident of La Junta, Colorado entered into rest August, 30, 2018 at The Inn Nursing Home in Trinidad, Colorado.
He was born August 20, 1958 to Jennie Leyba and Joe Romero. He was 60 years of age.
Joe was survived by his Mother, Jennie Leyba of La Junta, Colorado. Daughter, Melanie (Al) Valdez of Trinidad, Colorado, Brothers, Gilbert (Vivian) Romero of Las Animas, Colorado, Ruben Romero of La Junta, Colorado, Sisters, Rose Sanchez of Greeley, Colorado, Jean (Chava) Artega of La Junta, Colorado and Liz (Tom) Tabares of La Junta, Colorado, grandchildren, Oscar and Emiliano Valdez of Trinidad, Angel Blea of Pueblo, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Romero and his sister, Jennie Romero.
Joe worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching the Oakland Raiders. He was very loved and he will be greatly missed.
