Obituary for Joe Patrick Gallegos
Joe Patrick Gallegos of Rocky Ford, Colorado, entered into rest March 28, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Rocky Ford, on October 25, 1933 to Agueda and Eufemio Gallegos. Joe was 84 years of age.
He is survived by his loving wife Josie E. Gallegos, his children: Randy Gallegos (Cole) of Poynette, Wisconsin, James Gallegos, (Sonya Gutierrez) of Rocky Ford, Gary (Debbie Aguila) Gallegos of Thornton, sister, Daisey Bachicha of Pueblo and brother, Billy Gallegos of Pflugerville, Texas, 11 precious grandchildren and 17 beloved great grandchildren.
Joe is preceded in death by his son: Nathan T. Cole, grandson, Randy Jacob Romero, sister, Pauline Luera, brothers, Jake Gallegos, Theodoro Gallegos, Moses Gallegos, George Gallegos, and Henry Gallegos.
Joe was a grocer at the Rocky Ford Food Market for many years. He was a hard worker and he loved to work! He enjoyed watching the Broncos, and he especially loved his grandkids! He also loved music. Among his favorite music was by Little Joe and Familia. He was a jokester and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Joe was an icon in Rocky Ford!
A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Rocky Ford, followed by a Committal Service at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
