Obituary for Jose "Joe" Gonzales
Jose "Joe" Francisco Gonzales, of Fowler, CO entered into rest January 15, 2014 at his home. He was born March 17, 1930 to Rafael and Adelina Gonzales in Chacon, New Mexico. He was 83 years of age. Jose is survived by his children; Bob (Dorothy) Gonzales of Pueblo, Dan (Kim) Gonzales of Eldorado, KS, Felix (Doreen) Gonzales of Fowler, Rita (Bob) Lucero of Fowler, Mark (Louise) Gonzales of Fowler, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, brothers, Ralph Gonzales of La Junta, Carlos (Brenda Berumen) Gonzales of Fowler, sisters, Flora Cruz of Albuquerque, NM, Marie Barella of La Junta. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Gonzales, son, Jimmy Gonzales, Parents, Rafael and Adelina Gonzales, brother, Tino Gonzales, sister, Priscilla Torres. Jose was a very devoted husband and father. He truly enjoyed all of his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and being at his farm. "These are shoes that will never be able to be filled." He will be missed dearly. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Johnson-Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
