She was born April 17, 1943 in Rocky Ford, CO. to Rosalio and Consolacion Aparicio. She was 72 years of age. Josie is survived by her husband, Fred Rivera, of Rocky Ford, CO, daughter Lisa Rivera of Rocky Ford, CO, son, Troy Rivera of Greeley, CO, grandchildren, Kevin Rivera of Rocky Ford, CO, John Jim̩nez Jr. of Rocky Ford, CO, and her puppy, Memphis, Sisters, Candy (Ray) Medrano of Rocky Ford, CO, Jennie Madrid of Rocky Ford, CO, Ramona Olivas of AZ. brother in-law, Manuel Juardo of Manzanola, CO, sister in-laws Cindy (Andy) Medrano, of Rocky Ford, CO, Mary Martinez of Rocky Ford, CO, Stella Aparicio of AZ. Amanda Aparicio of Rocky Ford and Lenora Aparicio of Rocky Ford, CO. many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalio and Consolacion Aparicio, sisters Nellie Madrid and Crossie Rodriguez, and brothers Waldo Aparicio, Pete Aparicio, Chris Aparicio, and Panpalion Aparicio. Josie loved bingo and played every chance she could. She also loved going to Cripple Creek to gamble. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, and was known for her tamales, and menudo. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She helped with Sunday School, funerals and at the Church Bazaar.
