Obituary for Maria “Vickie” Gomez
Maria “Vickie” Gomez, of Pueblo, Colorado entered into rest April 30, 2025 in Pueblo, Colorado.
She was born on August 27, 1954, to Josie Burciago and Marcos Burciago in Fowler, Colorado. She was 70 years of age. Vickie brought Joy and warmth to those around her throughout her life.
She earned a bachelor's degree in business and carried that knowledge with grace and determination. Her vibrant personality made her the life of the party, always smiling, always laughing and she had a special way of lighting up any room she entered.
Family was at the heart of everything Vickie did. She is lovingly remembered by her son Ronald Gomez; her siblings Nickie Cook, Margie (Brett) Moreland, Annette (Steve) Vigil, Albert (Bella) Gomez, and Angie Smith; and her special niece Michelle Burciago. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Zackery Gomez, Jazlynn Gomez, Gabriela Putnam, Daniela Aparacio, and Caeli Aparicio, as well as her great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.
Vickie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jessica Aparicio; her parents Josie and Marcos Burciago; and her brother Paul “PACO Burciago.
She found joy in traveling and spending time with her family. Her loyal dog Freya was a constant companion. A devoted fan of Betty Boop, and the Denver Broncos, she embraced life with enthusiasm and heart.
A 9:00AM memorial service will be held on May 13, 2025, at the Victorious Church, located at 26646 County Road 24, La Junta/Swink, Colorado 81050.
