Mario Alexander Chaparro of La Junta, Colorado, peacefully entered into rest, August 1 ,2024 surrounded by his loving family in the family home in La Junta, Colorado.
He was born to Mona and Robert Chaparro, Sr., November 17, 1987, in La Junta, Colorado. He was 36 years of age.
Mario is survived by his parents, Mona and Robert Chaparro, Sr. of La Junta, Colorado, daughter, Serenity Alexandra Chaparro, siblings, Nicole Chaparro, Rob Chaparro, Lisa (Geoff) Lucero, all of La Junta, Colorado. Nieces and nephews include, Isaiah Chaparro, Lylianna Chaparro, Ryan Bryant, Karlos Lucero, Acelin Lucero and Dom Lucero.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Anthony Emilio Chaparro, grandparents, Richard and Mary Chaparro, John and Jean Munoz, great grandparents, Leo and Cleo Sanchez, Merced and Pauline Munoz, uncles, Gerard Munoz and Matt Munoz, cousins, Jordan Munoz and Nick Chaparro, Gino Montano and Eddie Gutierrez III.
Mario attended La Junta schools growing up. He transferred his junior year to South High School in Pueblo, Colorado where he graduated in 2006 with honors, receiving a silver cord.
He enjoyed, reading, watching sports shooting Pool, and watching his nieces and nephews play sports. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
A viewing will be held at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, August 8, 2024. followed by a 9:30 A.M. Rosary and a 10:00 A.M. Memorial Mass. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in La Junta, Colorado.
Father Joseph will be officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
