Obituary for Mary Agnes Gomez
Mary Agnes Gomez, of Rocky Ford, CO peacefully entered into rest August 25, 2014 at the Fowler Health Care Center. She was born October 17, 1921 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Germinio and Marina Blea. She was 92 years of age. Mary Agnes is survived by her children; Alice Gomez of Rocky Ford, Stella Gomez of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Corine (David) Schulz of Denver, Richard Gomez of Rocky Ford, Carolyn (Ed) Coffelt of Loveland, Colorado and her Grandson Ricky Lee (Tracy) Gomez of Rocky Ford, whom she raised as her own child. She had 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren. Sisters; Frances Pacheco of La Junta and Ruby Gonzales of California. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Gomez and her parents. Mary Agnes loved arts and crafts. She painted many rocks and also enjoyed sewing and embroidering. She especially loved spending time with her family. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Fowler Health Care Center for the special care they provided. The family will be receiving visitors and donations at 703 second street in Rocky Ford. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday followed by a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. All services will be held at the St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, followed by a Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
