Matthew John Singleton Sr. was born on January 6, 1957, in Charleston South Carolina to Ervin Singleton Sr. and Theresa Singleton. He departed this world on December 3, 2020 in Rocky Ford Colorado.
Matthew attended local Charleston county schools and later joined the United States Army. His military service lasted from 1975 until 1985, when he was honorably discharged. He loved to travel and had a passion for motorcycles. He enjoyed life to the fullest while he was able to.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Edeltraud (Angel) Singleton; his children, Matthew J. Singleton Jr. (Kaycee), Mercedes R. Sawyer (Logan) and Pierre H. Keupp (Sylvia); his grandchildren Jasmine Singleton, Marius Singleton, Kayden Singleton, Ricardo Smalls, and great grandson DeAndrae Keupp; his brothers, Ervin Singleton Jr., Elijah Singleton; his sisters Virginia Johnson, and Sandra McCall, all of Charleston SC and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
