Monica Patricia Torres of La Junta, Colorado entered into rest, December 26, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born to Ray and Patricia Estrada, December 11, 1976 in La Junta, Colorado. She was 44 years of age. She is survived by her husband Aaron Torres of La Junta, Colorado, son, Christopher Estrada of La Junta, Colorado, father, Ray Estrada Sr., of La Junta, Colorado, brother, Ray (Jessica Baca) Estrada, Jr., of La Junta, Colorado, sister Renee (Dean) McCosh of San Diego, California, grandmother, Mary Santistevans of San Diego, California.
She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Estrada.
Monica loved to sit at the park and have picnics and Sonic dates with Aaron She really enjoyed her music, visiting with her sister on the phone and spending time with her mother when she was still living. Monica also liked watching movies with her husband and son. She liked watching Judge Judy every day. Family was very important to her. Monica loved when Aaron would sing to her. She also loved receiving flowers. Monica would recite the Lords Prayer every night and slept the music on in the background.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 8, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta, Colorado.
