Obituary for Monze Alvidres, Jr.
Monze Alvidres, Jr. formerly of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest, September 1, 2024, peacefully in his Pueblo, Colorado home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born to Lucy Garcia and Monze Alvidrez, Sr. September 2, 1980, in La Junta, Colorado. He was 43 years of age.
Monze is survived by his mother, Lucy Garcia, children, Javier Alvidrez, Monze Alvidrez III, Ernesto Alvidrez, Santos Alvidrez and Emiliano Alvidrez, granddaughter, Ellesmera, siblings, Jessica Alvidres, Stephanie (Cruz) Molina, Isabel (Adrian) Armijo, Isidoro Alvidres several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.
He is preceded in death by his father Monze Alvidres, Sr. grandparents Romona and Joe Garcia, Gavina and Isidoro Alvidres aunts Connie Vasquez and Molly Garcia, nephew Angel Alvidrez.
He was always helping out other people and doing things with his kids. He would always build new stuff and enjoyed BBQ’s, watching the cooking shows, fishing with his boys and he was a SanFrancisco 49ers Fan. He was strong and a hard worker. Monze especially loved his family and was a good uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and loved him.
A 9:00 A.M. Viewing, 9:30 A.M. Rosary and a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at Our Lady Guadalupe St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in La Junta, Colorado, followed by a burial at the Bent County Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado.
