Orlando is survived by his parents Rosella Abeyta of La Junta, Colorado Danny Whatley Sr. of Rocky Ford, the love of his life Bernice Archuleta, of La Junta, siblings, Danny (Donna) Whatley Jr. of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Ruben (Rita) Whatley, Sr. of La Junta, Colorado, Lorrie (Ernie) Trujillo of Pueblo, Colorado, Cheryl (Tom) Talmich of Colorado Spring, Colorado, Chris Whatley of La Junta, Colorado, Fritzie (Ray) Muniz of La Junta, Colorado, Juanita (Julio) Vasquez of La Junta, Colorado, Johnny Whatley of La Junta, Colorado Juan (Gloria) Abeyta of La Junta of La Junta, Colorado , children, Orlando Joseph Whatley, Jr. of La Junta, Colorado, Tania Whatley of La Junta, Sharina Whatley of Granada, Colorado, 11 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather Fritz Abeyta, granddaughter, Riana Sharie Whatley.
Orlando enjoyed when family get togethers to play cards, the Denver broncos and drinking his beer. He enjoyed the company of his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 28, at the Door Church in La Junta, Colorado.
