Obituary for Richard Lee Lantz
Richard Lee Lantz of North La Junta, Colorado passed peacefully on Tuesday May 11th, 2022, at Crowley County Nursing Home in Ordway, Colorado.
Richard was born June 12, 1936, to Sherman and Adelia Lantz in Cheraw Colorado. He was 85 years of age.
He married Conda Schultz on July 20, 1957, and they had three children, Ricky, Lou Ann, and Janet.
Richard is survived by his daughter Mike (Janet) Leikam of Arizona, brother Owen (Bess) Lantz and their children Kevin, Paula, Kimberly of La Junta, grandson Timothy Lantz of Pueblo, great nephew/nieces Sarah, Samantha, Dillon, Coleton, and Nephew/nieces Debbie, Sharon, Christine, Jessie, Ted Schultz, Thomas (Brandy) Schultz, grandnieces Sydney and Savanah.
He is preceded in death by his wife Conda, son Ricky, and daughter Lou Ann.
Richard spent his life working as a plumber. First at Wilson's Plumbing and Heating until he decided to become a licensed plumber and starting his own business of Lantz Plumbing & Heating. He was a very giving man often doing jobs for free. He loved taking the family on mystery trips where we loaded a picnic basket, got in the car, and just picked a direction and drove. Never knowing where we would end up and just enjoying the trip. We loved the short trips where we could ride in the back of the pickup and Richard loved to "backfire" the truck to scare us. He loved Ford trucks and tinkering on them. He will be greatly missed by those that loved him.
A 10:00 A.M. Graveside Service will be September 9, 2022, at the Holbrook Mennonite Church.

Also, a thanks to Owen Lantz and his family for always being there for him and myself.
