Richard “Rocky” Del Rio of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest in La Junta, Colorado, November 27, 2017. He was born to Isabel and John Del Rio, July 30, 1968 in La Junta, Colorado. He was 49 years of age.
He is survived by his children; Jordan (Selena) Del Rio, Joshua Del Rio, Jeremy Del Rio, Justin Del Rio and Alexandra Del Rio, all of La Junta, father, John Del Rio of Sugar City, Colorado, sister, Louise (Albert) Guerrero of Lakewood, Colorado, brothers; Steve (Barbara) Del Rio of Denver, Colorado, Chris (Wendy) Del Rio of Littleton, Colorado, grandchildren; Daymien Del Rio, Aaliyah Del Rio, his very close aunt, Pauline Rangel, several aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Isabel Del Rio.
Richard was the owner and operator of Del Rio’s Automotive and enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed working on his house, riding his motorcycle and helping his community. Richard especially loved spending time with his children and took good care of them. He was a dedicated father.
A visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. December 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
