Obituary for Robert "Chato" Larry Rangel
Robert "Chato" Larry Rangel of La Junta, Colorado entered into rest, December 29, 2020 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado.
He was born to Domingo and Sylvia Rangel November 21, 1951 in La Junta, Colorado. He was 69 years of age.
Robert is survived by his wife Anita of La Junta, Colorado, children; Chad (Victoria Valdez) Rangel of La Junta, Lisa (Rick) Medina of La Junta, Gail (Gene) Ingram of Arizona, Lena (Dave) Hill of Arizona, Roberta (Rudy) Villasenor of Arizona, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, siblings; Cruz Rangel, La Junta, Betty (Karl) Grasmick of Pueblo, Sally Rangel-Ortega of La Junta, Veronica Terrazas of Pueblo, Anthony (Dee) Rangel of La Junta, Sarah Rangel of La Junta, Sister-in-law Pauline Rangel of La Junta, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Sylvia Rangel, brothers; George, Tony, Ben and Johnny Rangel, sister, Delfa Marinelarena, nephews, George Rangel, Tino Ortega, Denny Rangel, Steven Ortega.
Robert (or Chat as he was known by family and friends) enjoyed taking care of his residents at all of the various Nursing Care Centers in the Valley as a restorative CNA. He was good at fixing medical equipment. Chat was an avid Colorado sports fan. He loved coaching youth, football, basketball, baseball and softball. He was the self-professed, biggest Denver Bronco fan on the planet. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta, Thursday January 7th 2021.
