Obituary for Ruben Alex Romero
Ruben Alex Romero of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest April 30, 2019 peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Richard and Jennie Romero, November 4, 1965 in Delta, Colorado. He was 53 years of age.
He is survived by his mother, Jennie Leyba, siblings, Rose Sanchez, Gilbert (Vivian) Romero, Liz (Tommy) Tabares, Jean (Chava) Artega, children, Alex Romero, Shilo Romero, Ruben Romero Jr., Savana Romero, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and his big dog Nanuk.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Romero, brother, Joe Romero and sister, Jennie Romero.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, cooking, driving around and listing to music and he especially loved spending time with family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Thyme Square building in La Junta, Colorado.
Jr. Munson will be officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
