Ruth Chavez, of Trinidad, CO and former resident of Walsenburg, CO entered into rest in Trinidad, CO. February 20, 2014. She was born October 8, 1961 in Walsenburg, to Leroy and Fern Chavez. She was 52 years of age. She is survived by her Fiance ', Al Pollard Jr., father, Leroy Chavez. Daughters; Steph Duran, Jazmon Pollard, and Becca Garrett, son's; Frank Duran , Desi Duran, Tim Garrett, Scott Garrett, Jason Garrett, sisters; Chuky Sandoval, Kathy Valdez, Cindy Vigil , brothers; Jim Chavez and Adrian Chavez. Ruth enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends, babies laughing, collecting pandas, and the Ellen Degeneris show. She touched many lives and will be missed. A well attended visitation was held and no additional services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
