Obituary for Susie Pineda
Susie Pineda, 87, of Walsenburg , Colorado passed away on September 17, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Francisco Pedro Martinez and Simodocea Lopez and born in Pictou, Colorado on March 1, 1928. Susie graduated from St. Mary's High School. She was married to the late Theodore G. Pineda on April 4, 1946 who passed away on April 4, 1994. Susie was a talented woman and loved crafts.�� She created jewelry, artwork which included acrylic and sand paintings, sewing, embroidery and ���owers.�� She worked most of her life in the restaurant industry.�� She and her late sister, Emma Agnes even operated their own restaurant on Main Street for several years and for a short time managed her own craft store.�� Later in life she coordinated the buses for Gambling Junkets to Cripple Creek, Colorado, Laughlin and Reno, Nevada. As part of her volunteerism, she spent approximately 18 years as a Pink Lady at the Veterans Hospital.�� She also devoted her time and participation to several organizations, often attaining the highest of�ces; The Mother's Club, The Latino Club and the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary. ����Susie is survived by her 6 children Kathryn B. Zgut, Carol J. Pineda, Toni A. Brock, Frances Pineda, Kenneth J. Pineda,Theodore J. Pineda; and her step-daughter Rita Lovinger, numerous grand children, great grand children, great great grand children, nieces and nephews.


1:30 P.M.

A Rosary will be held Saturday September 26, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Walsenburg at 1:30 P.M. followed by a Funeral services.
