Obituary for Tito Lucero
Tito Lucero of Manzanola, Colorado, entered into rest on July 25, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born July 3, 1931, to Julian and Delfinia Lucero in Anton Chico, New Mexico. He was 85 years old. Tito is survived by his wife, Rosie of the home; his children, Pat Lucero of Garden City, Kansas, Richard (Bea) Lucero of Northglenn, Colorado, Charles Lucero of Denver, Colorado, Tom (Janet) Lucero, of Denver, Colorado. He also had 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Lucero; his parents, Julian and Delfinia Lucero; brothers, Pat, Filemon, Eugene and Abran; sisters, Edwina Lucero, Rita Gomez, File Encinias, Sally Lucero. Tito was the last of the Luceros.

He worked at the sugar plant in Rocky Ford for over 20 years and worked for a number of farmers in the area until he was 83. Tito loved his family, Broncos, and watching westerns and always had a story to share. He was a helpful, caring and loving man.

A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a rosary at at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with a reception to follow at the Parrish Hall. Funeral will be at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, with burial at the Manzanola Cemetery and a reception to follow at the Manzanola Armory.
