Obituary for Virginia Flores
Virginia Flores of La Junta, Colorado went to be with her lord, Jesus Christ on September 14, 2015, after battling a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends. Virginia was born November 29, 1949 in Swink, Colorado to Delfinio Sr. and Cleo Baca Flores. She was 65 years of age. She loved Jesus Christ her savior, her family, her friends and her pets Sophia and Bella. Virginia graduated from Cheraw High School in 1969 and attended Otero Jr. College. She was a hard working gal having worked at Cheraw Turkey Plant, Nibco of Colorado, Trane of Pueblo, Colorado and Hanagan's Produce of Swink. Her smile and giggle could brighten anyone's day. Virginia was a very talented athlete playing softball for the A&W Wizzards. She was the best third basemen, playing left handed and winning the golden glove awards in Pueblo. Virginia was a "Rock" for her family and friends. She always had that smile and loving, caring heart for everyone around her She is preceded in death by her parents, Delfinio Sr. and Cleo Baca Flores, brothers, Delfinio Flores, Jr. and Henry "Hank" Flores. Survivors include; Robert (Priscilla) Flores, Dorthy (Ben) Maestas, Sally Lucero, Nasario (Marlene) Flores, Anthony (Danette) Flores, Treasa (Jess) Martinez, Cleo (Abel) Mesa, Betty (Frank) Morales, Rick Flores, sister-in-law, Terry Flores, Lydia Flores and best friend, Jenny Hernandez and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 18, 2015 and a funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 19, 2015 both services will be held at the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home in La Junta, Colorado. Pastor Mike Beecham will be officiating.
