Obituary for Zachary Martinez "Montanez"
Zachary Martinez, "Montanez" 41, entered into rest July 24, 2023. Zach was born March 17, 1982, in Rocky Ford, CO. Zach graduated from Rocky Ford High School where he excelled in his academics, in his down time he loved fishing, camping and most of all playing any guitar he could get his hands on. He loved the classics Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bob Marley just to name a few. He had a heart of gold always lending out a helping hand and putting others needs before his own. A selfless and compassionate human being that judged no one and loved all.
Zach is survived by his mother, Laura (Edward Vasquez) Leyba; sister, Andrea (Damion) Bell; Nieces, Aaliyah, Aalijah, Makaylah, Myah Bell; grandmother, Eleanor Leyba; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Zach is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Willie Leyba and Roger Montanez; and father, Andy Montanez.
