Mary Jesus Moreno of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest March 26, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 2, 1929, in Manzanola, Colorado to Concepcion and Albert Montano. She was 90 years of age. Mary is survived by her children, Sally (Ernesto) Zamudio of La Junta, Colorado, Rita (Manny) Ruiz of Phoenix, Arizona, Rebecca Schalk of Virginia, grandchildren; Adelaida, Ernesto, Maria, Celia, Jessica, Jennifer, Tony, Logan, Eric and Rachel sister, Delfina Leeder, brother, Frankie Montano, Several greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete Moreno, parents, Concepcion and Albert Montano, son, Peter Moreno, brothers, Albert, Ambrosio and Fernando Moreno.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to cook. She was a very lovable lady. She was a cook at Salome High School in Arizona. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mary will be greatly missed.
As per the family’s request, there will be no services at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
