Obituary for John L. Gonzales
John L. Gonzales affectionately known as "Gonzo" of Walsenburg, Colorado, entered into rest December 24, 2016 in Walsenburg, Colorado. He was born in Toltec, Colorado, May 7, 1940 to Maria and Antonio Gonzales. He was 76 years of age. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Maria N. Gonzales, brother, Joe Archuleta and sister, Stella Macias. John was a resident for a short time at the Spanish Peaks Community Living Center. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a Postal Carrier for the United States Post Office in Denver, Colorado. He enjoyed playing Pool, Fishing, Scratching Lottery Tickets and the company of family and friends. John is survived by two brothers, Gasper and Jim (Wendy) Gonzales, special friends, Sheryl Pineda and Desi Pacheco, Roberta Sandoval and all of his Sarti and Silver Dollar Family. At John's Request cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
