Obituary for Lucas Manuel Garcia
Lucas Manuel Garcia of La Junta, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2020. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Lucas was born to Kim Staunton and Vic Garcia Jr. on August 15, 2001. He was 18 years old. Lucas enjoyed adventure, the outdoors, driving, the skate park, cooking, working on his car with his dad, helping his mom with the yard and flowers, and most of all, spending time with his fiancé and baby girl, Bella. He finished his senior year of high school early to walk with the Class of 2020. He was a thoughtful friend, loving son and proud father.
He is survived by his mother, Kim Staunton of La Junta, and father, Vic (Mary) Garcia, Jr. of Rocky Ford; fiancé, Precious Diamond-Angelic Garcia of La Junta, daughter, Isabella Rosalia-Mariana Garcia, sisters: Misti, Lauren, Cady, and Raegan; Grandma: Helen Garcia; Aunts/Uncles: Tom Staunton, Julie Hammond, Jesse (Mary) Staunton, Jamie (Steve) Kennedy, Sylvia (Bud) Robertson, Virginia (Aaron) Hamm, Jimmy (Monica) Garcia, Mary (Frank) Rivera, Ignacio (Dominga) Garcia, David (Louise) Garcia, Chris Garcia, John Garcia; and numerous cousins and close friends that Lucas called family. He is preceded in death by grandparents: Victor Garcia, Sr., Donald (Paula) Staunton; and his Uncle Manny Garcia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving Care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
