Obituary for Richard Eugene West
Richard Eugene West July 21,1939 to January 9th, 2023
Richard passed away Monday morning after suffering a heart attack in Rocky Ford Colorado. Richard was born to Sterling and Bernice West in Milwaukee Wisconsin July 21st 1939. After graduating from high school in Crown Point Indiana, he attended Emmaus Bible College. After spending some time in Chicago, Richard moved to Colorado and worked for the Denver Post. After moving to Colorado Springs he met and married Linda in 1968. Richard worked at Hewlett Packard for 31 years as an electronics technician. He then worked for Current Incorporated and retired in 2004. Richard had a heart for the deaf and studied sign language so he could connect with the deaf community.
Richard is survived by Andrew West and Randal West and their families. Richard loved Jesus and looked to Him during some really difficult times in his life. Richard is now home with his Savior. A memorial service will be held at Southside Bible Chapel at 10 AM on Saturday January 14th. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Compassion International at Compassion.com.
