Obituary for Linda Kay Weitzel
Linda Kay Weitzel of La Junta, Colorado entered into rest March 10, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born to Gladys and Ellis Shipley July 18, 1947 in Jefferson, Iowa. Linda was 71 years of age. Linda is survived by her granddaughter Alicia Swenson, brother, Richard (Joanne) Shipley, various nieces and nephews and special devoted friends Debra and Brian Larson.
Linda is preceded in death by her son, Clint Swenson, ex-husband, Chuck Swenson and her parents, Gladys and Ellis Shipley.
She enjoyed football, game shows and WWE Wrestling. In her early years she was a good bowler and basketball player. She really enjoyed her trips to Oregon. Linda loved her cat Honey and she especially loved her granddaughter Alicia. She will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 5, 2018 at the Crossroads Church in Swink, Colorado. Pastor Mike Beecham will be officiating.
