Rose Marie Gallegos of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest April 1, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Stella and Julio Martinez October 17, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado. Rose was 77 years of age.
She is survived by her children Donna Gallegos of La Junta, Colorado, Victor Gallegos of La Junta, Colorado, James (Echo) Gallegos, of La Junta, Colorado Joann (Jorge) Herrera, La Junta, Colorado, Nicole Gallegos, siblings, Lucy Arguello of Pueblo, Colorado, Andi Sandoval of La Junta, Colorado, Teresa (Carmen) Palacio of Denver Colorado, Joe (Viola) Romero of La Junta, Colorado, several grandchildren, Andrew, Christal, Phillip, April, Felicia, Paul, Rebecca, Stella, Melissa, Thomas, Tara, Kimberly and Zamora. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Rose is preceded in death by husband Tony Gallegos, children Pam Gallegos, Donald Gallegos, siblings Julia Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Martin Romero, grandsons, Josiah, Jeremiah and Zabian Lorenzo.
She was always laughing, smiling, and joking. Rose enjoyed dancing, singing, the color red, cooking tortillas, fishing, camping and loved her pets chihuahua and poodle. She especially loved her family and she will be missed by all those who knew her.
A Celebration of her life will be held, 10:00 A.M. Friday at the River of Life Church in La Junta, Colorado. 109 West 5th Street.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
