Rudolph “Rudy” Fermin Medina of Swink, Colorado, entered into rest April 20, 2019 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado.
Rudy was born May 9, 1945 in Rocky Ford, to Mary Villalovos Baker and Arthur Medina. He was 73 years of age.
Rudy is survived by his children, Giselle Jaramillo of Swink, Colorado, Yvette (Enrique) Cruz of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dion (Cynthia) Medina of Fremont, California, grandchildren; Anthony “Stormy” (Jacqueline) Klob of Austin, Texas, Alyssa Jaramillo of Las Animas, Colorado, Jarret Jaramillo of Swink, Colorado, Melissa Klob of Scottsdale, Arizona, Emily and Kevin Medina, of Fremont, California, brothers, Ron Medina of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Eddie Medina of Sacramento, California, Gene (Carol) Medina of Littleton, Colorado, Kenny (Debbie) Medina of Littleton, Colorado, sister, Mary Ellen Medina of Pueblo, Colorado, Robert Medina of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Darrin (Rita) Medina of Rocky Ford and Jimmy Baker of Lolita, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Medina, daughter Melissa Medina, parents; Mary Villalovos Baker and Arthur Medina and brother, Richard Medina. Rudy served his country during Vietnam in the United States Air Force. He worked at NIBCO in La Junta for many years. He then went to work for the Colorado Boys Ranch where he retired. He enjoyed having breakfast and coffee with his friends and he also enjoyed spending time with his friends at NAPA in Rocky Ford and going for rides. Rudy really enjoyed watching all of his westerns, football, baseball, basketball, and various other sports. He enjoyed ice cream and he especially looked forward to seeing his grandchildren. Rudy will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
A visitation will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Colorado from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 26, 2019. A rosary will be held 10:00 A.M. followed by a 10:30 A.M. Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Colorado Father Paul Ekeh will be officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
