Obituary for Sandra Kay Hughes
Sandra Kay Hughes Passed away Jan 16th, 2014 at her home. Sandy was born on September 29th, 1947 to Cecil Roy Conyers and Ruth Snelson Conyers. She graduated La Junta high School in 1965. She worked at Mountain Bell as a Telephone operator for many years, as well as Klein's Supermarket and Woolworth's. She Loved Elvis Presley and the Denver Broncos, decorating her house with her Bronco flags every game. She got a big kick with people driving by and honking! But her greatest passion was being "Nana". That was most rewarding. She loved her grandbabies dearly. Sandy was a "people" person and will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn "Huey" Hughes, her parents and special Aunts and Uncles. Sandy in survived by her children Chandra (Rick) Ochoa, Jon Price, Misti (Adrian) Baros, her pride and joy Her grandchildren Candice Kay Ochoa (Rufus Herrera), Audie and Amari Baros, and her great-grandson Jacoby. Brother Ken Conyers and family, Sister Sherry Worster and family, and special family friend Kenny Ray Arguello, who took the time to check on her or just call to say "I love you" Services are Saturday January 25th at 11 am, Johnson Romero Funeral home. Please wear Denver Bronco's, or like colors. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
