She was born to Ernesta and Isidro Guerrero, July 16, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado. She was 73 years of age.
Carmen is survived by her husband; Armando Renteria of Rocky Ford, Colorado, children, Arthur Hernandez of Odessa, Texas, Irene Hernandez of La Junta, Colorado, Veronica Hernandez of Pueblo, Colorado, Anthony Hernandez of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Jose (Amandalynn) Hernandez of Mesa, Arizona, Neyha Hernandez of Castle Rock, Colorado, grandchildren, Michael RedEagle, Ashley, Catalina, Ernesto, Xenia, Emiliano, Liliana, Alina, Ashton, Antonio Hernandez, great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Michael, Jr. Gabriel RedEagle, siblings, Lucy Covarrubias, of Liberal, Kansas, Theresa (Johnny) Maldonado of La Junta, Colorado, Cecilia Guerrero of La Junta and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Hernandez, parents, Ernesta and Isidro Guerrero, brother, John Guerrero.
Carmen enjoyed watching her Colorado Rockies and joy riding in the car. She also enjoyed playing the lottery scratch games and she was an avid bingo player.
A 9:30 A.M. viewing followed by 10:00 A.M. holy rosary will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 followed by a 10:30 Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in La Junta, Colorado. Father Wertin will be officiating.
A Committal Service will be at Calvary Cemetery following the church service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
